Spring has finally arrived in Midway, UT. Mid April, there were 3+ feet of snow in this spot.

...Opening Comments from Bob

This Page: Record snow fell this winter, spring arrived late. The heavy, rapid melt caused floods including huge mud slides throughout the state. Houses have fallen off of cliff ledges. Despite these, this issue focuses on the arrival of spring with a focus on its beauty. There are three new poems in this issue, Aging, A Question, and Appreciation.

Over 630 inches of snow fell on Park City ski areas. Pictured are some of the older mining
homes, easily worth over a million dollars each. (Note the ski lift in the background).

The snow is quickly disappearing on mountains surrounding Midway.

Three Poems

Comment: This poem is very appropriate for this month as my birthday is tomorrow (29th), and I have
definitely reached what is defined as old age.

Comment: This poem was written several months ago when we had more than our desired amount
of rain. However, the large snow melt is wrecking havoc throughou
t the state.

Comment: This poem was written in appreciation of our exceptionally beautiful spring in Utah.

With the record snowfall towns in flood zones are preparing. This is one of the side streets in nearby
Heber City that has sandbagged one of the high risk areas. Flood precautions will be taken until late June.

Recommendation

May 29, is my birthday. With each passing year, I like to believe that I continue to learn more about life and its truths. The poems above speak to some of them. Wishing you all much happiness!
