The Trail in Spring

Spring can not be better than today,
Blading along the Kokosing Trail.
A color carpet of greens, white, and violets
Line the asphalt strip.
The air is permeated with the songs
Of birds and fragrances of wildflowers.
Nature has awakened.
A yellow finch darts shyly across
Showing her unabashed beauty.
New life evident
Wherever the gaze falls.
Renewing all who chose this day
To enter this earthly multicolored fusion.

Comments: As you know from some of my other poems, I enjoy roller blading and spending time observing nature. The time described in the poem was especially quieting.
