Visions Beyond The Painter's Brush
You come to me in the stillness of sleep
With visions vivid you show me
A beauty that is absent of color and time
With its sweetness you enthrone me
Ever so gently you peacefully guide me
To a place my eyes have not seen
With sounds that bring reverence to my heart
A calling within my sweet dream
Calmly leading me through the grandest of forest
With a splendor unfathomable to the mind
A portrait of tranquil serenity
Unequaled to anything in time
Sweet songs of melody the birds to sing
With a warmth replenished by grace
Along the pathway in which I trod
Light is shed upon every space
Still, with no colors to concieve it
No shades the canvas does hold
The painter's portrait before me
Needs no color to stand out bold
My path takes me to a great clearing
And before my eyes is laid there
A mighty bend with its river flowing
A beauty with none to compare
It is there my eyes see opposite the river
Like a story that is about to unfold
A land which sings of piece and harmony
Unlike anything I have ever been told
As I stand and wonder as how to cross
To the beauty that lays before me
A gentle voice whispers in my ear
Not now...It is only to show me
As these words are softly whispered
Telling me that I cannot go ahead
I find myself gently waking
And there I am...warm in my bed
A dream never to be forgotten
Or the sweet whispering that came in a hush
In a land with incomprehensible beauty
Like visions beyond the painter's brush
